Years of stress and environmental damage can put a damper on your natural glow. It’s never too late for an intervention. Thanks to facial injectables, you can turn back the clock and emit that long-lost radiance. medspa810 offers an array of tried-and-true facial injectable cosmetic procedures that are perfect for both treatment and maintenance.

About injectables

Facial Injectables have active natural ingredients such as hyaluronic acid. When introduced to the skin, this stimulates natural collagen production. Results for up to approximately 12 months, and only gets better with time.

Facial Injectables can be used to plump up your skin and even your lips. They are commonly used to contour and add volume to the face, which can significantly affect a person’s appearance, even without any invasive surgical procedures.

Facial Injectables are commonly applied to the cheeks, eyes, eyebrow, mouth, and chin area. Some clients have even reported positive results for helping with acne scars.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein, used to block nerve impulses and temporarily relax muscles that cause wrinkles. BOTOX® has been available for since 1989 and approved for cosmetic use since 2002. It is approved in over 75 countries for numerous uses. It is the most popular cosmetic procedures in the world.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is primarily used for treatment of wrinkles. Only dynamic wrinkles may be treated with BOTOX® Cosmetic. Dynamic wrinkles are those that become apparent with active facial movement. The areas commonly treated with BOTOX® Cosmetic for wrinkles are:

  • Glabellar (“frown lines” between the eyes)

  • Forehead creases

  • Crows feet (wrinkles around the eyes particularly noticeable when smiling)

  • Upper neck banding (“turkey gobble”)

  • Lateral mouth frown (corners of the mouth, DAO)

  • Brow lifts (to give the eyebrows a more youthful appearance)

  • Smokers lip lines

  • Bunny Lines

  • Chin

What can I expect during and after treatment?
The treatment consists of a series of injections into the area which you, the client, want to relax. Typically the entire procedure will last between 5-10 minutes. The discomfort is minimal. There will be small bumps at the injection sites for at most 15 minutes.

A client should actively move the muscles injected to promote absorption of the BOTOX® Cosmetic. Do not rub the areas, and do not wear a hat for at least 3 hours. Avoid strenuous physical activity for those first 3 hours as well.

When will I see the results and how long will they last?
You will not see the results until 36-48 hours. In some clients, this can take up to 5 days. Complete results will be apparent in 7-10 days. Results will last for 3-6 months, with most clients getting about 4 months of effect. As the BOTOX® Cosmetic wears off you will gradually see return of the muscle function and the wrinkles. For best results get repeat BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments before the prior treatment’s effects are completely worn off.

Can BOTOX® can be used to control sweating?
BOTOX® is FDA approved for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). The most commonly treated areas are underarms and hands. Treatment for the underarms is easily tolerated. Hand treatments historically required a simple nerve block to control discomfort, but medspa810 uses a technique for the hand injections which requires no nerve blocks. After one treatment results last about 6 months. With a second treatment you may see results for a year or longer. Typically 100 units are required for best results.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are gels or compounds which are injected to fill creases, folds, and deep wrinkles on the face. They offer immediate improvement in a client’s appearance. More recently, fillers have been used to volumize the aging face.

We offer a variety of Allergan fillers including: JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC, JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC, and JUVÉDERM® Vollure XC.

Which areas are commonly injected?

  • Nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth)

  • Lips (for fuller lips)

  • Under the eyes in the tear troughs

  • Forehead creases (usually only after Botox® administration)

  • Cheeks (to enhance and lift the cheeks)

  • Jowls (actually hides them)

  • Marionette lines (vertical lines from the corner of the mouth and downward)

  • Frowning mouth (used to turn up the corners of the mouth)

  • Chin crease (soften this area)

  • Nasal area (to hide humps)

  • Wrinkles around the mouth and cheek area, “Smokers” lip lines

  • Temples (fill in hollows found in weight loss, athletes, and in age related loss)

  • Preauricular (in front of ear area, particularly common in people who have had facelifts)

How long do the dermal fillers last?
Dermal fillers can last anywhere from 3 months to 18 months or longer. The exact duration is determined by the area of placement and the dermal filler used. In general, the more muscle movement, the less longevity of the filler. The body reabsorbed gradually reabsorbs the dermal fillers, and when they are fully absorbed you can expect to go back to your pretreatment appearance. It is best to have touch up injections rather than wait until complete absorption occurs.

What can I expect after the treatment?
One can expect some post treatment swelling for a couple days, which may last up to one week. It is therefore recommend to not have this treatment within 2 weeks of any special occasion. Bruising can occur and can last up to 2 weeks, but bruises are much less common with blunt cannulas.
